For Slapdash
Jun. 17th, 2013 10:06 pmEnterprise was in orbit around an uninhabited planet, conducting a planetary survey. An ion storm blew up in the upper atmosphere, interfering with the transporters. Difficulty locking on and limited power required the away team be beamed aboard, one member at a time. It was logical that Spock, with his superior (he could image McCoy's derisive snort, all the way from sickbay) physiology be the last to leave the surface.
His only indication that something may not have gone according to plan was an usually long time between the barren planet disappearing around him, and the transporter room solidifying.
Until he noticed the Captain, and truly took in his surroundings. His eyebrow went up sharply. "Fascinating."
What the hell else do you say, when your Captain appears much younger than expected, anyway?
